Extra Townsville Photos

I would love to go back to Townsville one day to see all that  i have yet to see it was an amazing place and i enjoyed the adventure and 4 months of living there were just amazing

Old Townsville

Townsville has some pretty amazing old buildings that are within the city centre, some great different architecture, the buildings are easy to find with plaques are attached to them that have information explaining what each of the buildings were once used for,

Jezzine Barracks, Kissing Point Fort

Jezzine Barracks

is an old military base within Townsville, which is now set up a historical complex that showcases the history of military in Townsville as well as aboriginals of the area, connected to this area as well is the North Queensland Army museum which gives you more detail about the area, there are still a few barracks still standing in the area.

Kissing point Fort

was built in the 1800s as a defense against Russia, but was also used during WWII where there is also a memorial dedicated to an american squadron who had helped protect the area during the war.

It is just a walk down along the strand, if you walk from the direction of the Ferry terminal.
