The Victory Column or in it's German name Siegessaule is an amazing structure, it is situated in the middle of the road, and the only way you can get to it, is through underground tunnels, once inside the column there is a small little museum that tells of the history of the column and also has mini replicas of other landmarks around the world.
You then can start climbing up to the top you have a stop about half way which you have a round view of the city, more just trees at this stage, but you can also look at the detail that is surrounding this part, which is just amazing and also tells a story, these are shown in the pictures below. Then you continue to climb to the very top, there is about 200 stairs to the very top, they begin to get narrow which can become difficult when you have other people either coming down or going up about the same time as you, although there are platforms to stop for a wee bit. But once you have reached the top it is worth it as the views are just amazing :)
