Gendermarket, Deutscher Dom, Franz Dom, Konzerthaus

This is actually quite a lovely, area within Berlin,

The area itself is called Gendermarket, and within the lovely market is the Deutscher Dom, Franz Dom and also the Konzert Hall, the Gendermarket also holds, different, for explain now in Berlin, this area will be full with the Christmas market.  The square dates back to 1700, part of King Friedrick I’s plan for Friedrickstadt

out of the Dom's the Franz Dom was actually built first and by the French, and then the Germans decided that they wanted one too,
so both of these churches pretty much look alike, unless you look around both of them you can notice a few differences

Franz Dom

was erected as a place of worship in 1672 for the Huguenots, members of the Protestant Reformed Church of France, also known as French Calvinists, The Französische Friedrichstadtkirche was erected between 1701 and 1705, in the grid-layout, newly built area known as Friedrichstadt. Its central area – now the Gendarmenmarkt.French and German Domes were erected in 1780-85. ( http://www.berlin.de )

Deutscher Dom

The Deutscher Dom was erected in 1708 under Elector Friedrich III, who had crowned himself King Friedrich I in 1701 and was intent, along with his wife Queen Sophie Charlotte, in turning Berlin into a royal residence to rival Versailles.  ( http://www.berlin.de)

Konzerthaus

Schinkel’s 1821 Konzerthaus building had first opened in 1776 as the Französische Kömedie Haus (French Comedy Theatre) the Konzerthaus (Concert Hall) and former National Theatre (1786) known as “Schauspielhaus”. One of the three spectacular buildings on the Gendarmenmarkt, the harmonious ensemble, including the German and French Dome, is revered as a treasure of German neoclassical architecture.  ( http://www.berlin.de)
