Cooinda Lodge

this was quite a nice, lovely peaceful place to stay in

Fannie Bay Gaol is a historic gaol in Darwin, Australia. The gaol operated as Her Majesty's Gaol and Labour Prison, from 20 September 1883 until 1 September 1979
Lepers, refugees and juveniles were among the groups of people confined here, and you can still see the old cells and the gallows constructed for two hangings in 1952.

There is a lot of information, surrounding each of the different areas and also the buildings of the gaol and also the history of the place as well.

Ubirr - Kakadu

So Ubirr, this was such an amazing place to go to with the wonderful rock art, but also once you do a little bit of rock climbing, there is such an amazing view looking over most of Kakadu, it is great to go here and watch the sunset or earlier in the morning.

Fogg Dam

Fogg Dam is a lovely stretch of road, that shows lovely wildlife as well as nature as well, you can sometimes walk along the area, but not all the time because of Crocodiles, there are a lot of different types of birds that come into this area, the best time to go is just after the wet season is after and during the build up coming into the wet season, of course it is not best during.

Fogg Dam is located approximately 70 km east of Darwin along the Arnhem Highway. Take the Stuart Highway South and turn down the Arnhem Highway.

WWII Oil Storage Tunnels

The WWII Oil storage tunnel, were built during the war although did not get completed till after the darwin bombings, so these tunnels never got used, there are a few other tunnels around Darwin but they are closed off to the public, these tunnels are located opposite the waterfront

along the inside of the main and larger tunnel, there are pictures and details about the Darwin bombings,

you can either check the tunnels out by yourself or go along with a wwii aimed tour.

Darwin Waterfront

The Waterfront is such a lovely spot in darwin, where you can sit and relax in the sun, or in the shade, swim in the suitable area of swimming in the sea, and even the wave pool that is there as well.
